Asseco HCE is a solution for Issuers who want to provide their cardholders with the new generation of payment technology. Cardholders can use their mobile devices for card payments utilizing digital wallet. Digital wallet is accessible via mobile payment application and it can store all cards owned by cardholder. ASSECO is MCBP1.0+ certified server vendor and in the finalization process of the MCBP1.0+ MPA certification.
This is demo application that demonstrates two MasterCard certified user experiences: card-like and flexible. Card-like behavior simulates the same and exact user experience as for real physical contactless card. Flexible behavior utilizes flexibility of the on-device authentication mechanisms (PIN, fingerprint, pattern, face recognition, …) and is additionally secured with on device risk management specified by the MasterCard. Flexible and card-like behavior is step forward compared to the previous MasterCard specification where Mobile PIN was required for each and every transaction.
Payment is performed by tapping mobile device to a contactless POS terminal reader or when it comes to e-commerce and m-commerce transactions, by simplified “in-app” payment.
HCE (Host Card Emulation) components among other activities perform tokenization, digitization, mobile application activation, provisioning payment credentials to mobile devices, transaction cryptograms validation and fraud management.
Cards eligible for HCE payments are disposed to cardholder’s selection. Upon selection cards are digitized for contactless payments or DSRP (Digital Secure Remote Payments). Physical cards are being virtualized through tokenization and digitization processes. Tokenization stands for assigning DPANs of virtual cards to real PAN of physical card. Each virtualized card has different surrogate DPAN for each different Mobile device. Digitization means placing virtual cards in the mobile device (wallet) and provision of card profiles and payment credentials to be used in transactions.
